The Terrebonne Parish Communications District (aka Terrebonne Parish 911) strives to provide the most efficient and effective emergency communications possible for the citizenry of Terrebonne Parishes and to serve the numerous First Responders who actively save, serve and protect our lives and property. To attain this goal, we have established and utilize professional standards. Additionally, we are dedicated to attract, train and retain qualified professional employees necessary to provide this service.
The Terrebonne Parish Communications District carries out all tasks with an eye towards the future. Our Agency strives to make innovation, cost effectiveness and cooperation with all departments and governmental agencies our standard.

Terrebonne Parish 911 is the Primary Public Safety Answering Point for Terrebonne Parish. Our agency employs trained and certified Public-Safety Telecommunicators who answer all 911 calls for Terrebonne Parish, direct dispatch for the thirteen (13) fire departments and one ambulance service, and provide emergency medical dispatch for Bayou Cane Ambulance. The Communications District is also responsible for maintaining the most accurate street name and address guide for the Parish as well as incorporate this information into the Parish’s GIS Map which is used by all Parish agencies and departments and accessible to the general public.
